This paper deals with the Frank–Wolfe algorithm to solve a special class of non-compact constrained optimization problems. The notion asymptotic cone is one main concept used introduce problems considered as well establish definition algorithm. problems, closed and convex constraint set, are characterized by two conditions on gradient objective function. first establishes that function Lipschitz continuous, which quite usual in analysis this second one, new subject, belongs interior dual set. A New Hybrid Flower Pollination Algorithm for Solving Constrained Global Optimization Problems
Global optimization methods play an important role to solve many real-world problems. Flower pollination algorithm (FP) is a new nature-inspired algorithm, based on the characteristics of flowering plants. In this paper, a new hybrid optimization method called hybrid flower pollination algorithm (FPPSO) is proposed. The method combines the standard flower pollination algorithm (FP) with the par...
متن کاملComparative Study of Particle Swarm Optimization and Genetic Algorithm Applied for Noisy Non-Linear Optimization Problems
Optimization of noisy non-linear problems plays a key role in engineering and design problems. These optimization problems can't be solved effectively by using conventional optimization methods. However, metaheuristic algorithms such as Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) seem very efficient to approach in these problems and became very popular. The efficiency of these ...
متن کاملAn Optimization via Simulation approach for the preemptive and non-preemptive multi-mode resource-constrained project scheduling problems
In this paper a novel modelling and solving method has been developed to address the so-called resource constrained project scheduling problem (RCPSP) where project tasks have multiple modes and also the preemption of activities are allowed. To solve this NP-hard problem, a new general optimization via simulation (OvS) approach has been developed which is the main contribution of the current re...
متن کاملA non-heuristic distributed algorithm for non- convex constrained optimization
In this paper we introduce a discrete-time, distributed optimization algorithm executed by a set of agents whose interactions are subject to a communication graph. The algorithm can be applied to optimization problems where the cost function is expressed as a sum of functions, and where each function is associated to an agent. In addition, the agents can have equality constraints as well. The a...
